GEOA Innovations Zrt. has been established to organize the energy innovations, intellectual property, and development programs built around GeoAkku into a unified corporate and business framework.
The creation of the new company was driven by the progress made in recent developments, the continuous expansion of the technology portfolio, and the need to elevate industrial and investor collaborations to the next level.
GeoAkku is no longer just a single technological development. It has evolved into a portfolio of interconnected energy technologies that, in addition to underground energy storage, now encompasses hydrogen production, compression, and storage, CO₂ capture and utilization, thermal energy management, and the integration of hydrogen into existing industrial energy systems.
A key element of the portfolio remains the GeoAkku technology, which is currently undergoing international patent validation in 54 countries. Alongside this, several other independent patent-protected developments have been created in the fields of hydrogen technology and carbon capture.
Why was it necessary to establish GEOA Innovations Zrt.?
The developments have reached a stage where the further advancement, industrial validation, and international commercialization of these technologies require a dedicated corporate structure.
A primary goal of establishing GEOA Innovations Zrt. is therefore to provide unified management for the intellectual property and know-how associated with these technologies, and to create a structure that is transparent from both an investor and industrial perspective. This ensures that, in addition to the independent business value of individual developments, the value inherent in the entire technological system can be realized and leveraged.
The new corporate structure also provides an appropriate framework for raising the capital required for the next phase of development, establishing internal development infrastructure, conducting industrial validations, and bringing technologies to market.
The goal is to build an integrated energy technology platform
The strategy of GEOA Innovations Zrt. is centered not on a single product, but on an interdependent technological system.
Hydrogen production, pressure management and storage, underground energy storage, CO₂ capture, heat recovery, and industrial energy integration are complementary technologies. When applied together, they form a complete energy chain capable of providing solutions from energy generation and storage all the way to industrial end-use.
The mission of GEOA Innovations Zrt. is to further develop this technology platform, validate it in industrial environments, and commercialize it internationally.
The formation of the company is therefore not merely an organizational change, but the beginning of a new phase of growth: transforming research and development results into industrially applicable, scalable energy technologies that can be sold on international markets.

The response from the European Patent Office has arrived
On November 26, 2025, we received a communication from the European Patent Office: the examining division intends to grant a European patent for the core technology of GeoAkku.
